cringe alert + possible spelling mistakes /hj
anyways hi im reni and i speak spanish so when i saw i could write a blog in this thing i thought "ITS MY OPORTUNITY HECK YEAH IM GONNA TEACH SPANISH TO THIS WEBSITE CUZ MY FRIENDS DONT WANT TO LEAAARN" (theyre dumb)
im peruvian and ive been born in peru since i were 0 (that was a joke please laugh) so i speak a reaaally good spanish yayayayy
im in canada since i were 11 and it still costs me to understand words like seldom (i always forget what that thing means even since my friends explain it to me every 5 seconds) BUT AT LEAST I KNOW WEIRD SPANISH WORDs LIKE PETRICOR OR INEFABLE (im pretty sure those dont even exist in english) SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YEAH IVE ALWAYS DREamed TO TEACH SPANISH TO SOMEBODY BUT MY FRIENDS ALWAYS SAY "UGHHH WHY ARE THE VERBS LIKE THAT" ITS BC ITS A LATIN DERIVED LANGUAGE YOU NAILHEAD
its funny that they always hear songs in spanish an then ask me "omg ren what does this phrase mean???" "reniiiii this looks so cuteee what does it mean???" and the phrase is something super obscene like "mami rica chula bebesita ou yea soi badbuni" (please dont ever say that to somebody it IS really weird)
going straight to the point I WANT TO TEACH YALL SPANISH SO FIRST LESSON ISSSSS
VERBO "SER" (verb to be)
okay so every verb has something called conjugations, if your school teaches italian or french im pretty sure you did these things before
we have diferent versions of the same word because we latinos like to complicate things a lot (our language is just like that dontblameuspls)
ill start with some of the pronouns:
yo (me) (neutral)
tú (you) (neutral) - you must have seen "tu" without the line on top of the vowel!! thats bc tu is used to name objects (tu lápiz (your pencil)) and tú is for people!! like, tú refers to "you" and tu refers to "your", got me? (yes animals count as objects too (tu gato for example))
ella (she)
él (he) - you must have seen "el" without the line on top of the vowel!! thats bc el is used for objects and él is used for persons!! (yes objects have pronouns with genders too) (yes animals count as objects too (el gato for example))
ellos (they) - this can be used for groups that have both girls and boys or just boys!!
ellas (feminine they) - use this when theres ONLY girls in the group (or people with feminine pronouns ofc)
nosotros (we) - this can be used for groups that have both girls and boys or just boys!!
nosotras(feminine we) - use this when theres ONLY girls in the group (or people with feminine pronouns ofc)
ustedes (you in a plural way) (neutral)
vosotros/vosotras (you in a plural way) (masculine/feminine)
note: vosotros and vosotras are only used in spanish FROM spain, if you talk like this in some latin american country theyre probably going to laugh at you (spain isnt from latin america, it is in europe if you didnt know)
second note: "it" doesnt exist as a pronoun for people, and "they" doesnt work as a non-binary pronoun either, id recommend using "eso" as it and "elle/ellx" as they (pronoun),, (eso can be also used to name objects ("eso es un lápiz" (that is a pencil)))
OKAY SO HERE ARE THE CONJUGATIONS OF THE VERBO SER (verb be)
Yo soy
Tú eres
Ella/Él es
Ellos/Ellas son
Nosotros/Nosotras somos
Ustedes/Vosotros/Vosotras son
(other verbs are easier to conjugate i promise i just wanted to start with the hardest things)
remember spanish is a really complicated language so dont worry if you cant really deal with it!! even to me is hard to learn french (even tho our languages have similar structures) jjhfdjasjh
THAT WAS ALL BYEEEEEEE :D
REMEMBER TO DRINK AND EAT EVERYDAy!!!!
