Hello ! So I recently bough tickets to see Matt Maltese on May 22 and I am so excited! 

Matt would have to be one of my favorite artists ever and him being my very first proper concert is so exciting !! So, to celebrate this, I will be ranking and rating his Albums! After rating his albums, I will be picking my top 5 songs in said album.

Note ! I won't be including "Driving Just to Drive" as of April 25 since all of his songs in that album aren't out yet.

All of Matt's Albums I will be ranking :

• In a New Bed
• Vacant in the 21st Century (I'll consider it an album)
• Bad Contestant
• Krystal
• Madhouse
• Good Morning, it's now Tomorrow

Rating Criteria :

• Tears that are shed
• The emotion overload you'll get from playing the album
• Skipability of the album (if its a no skip or an album with full of skips)
• Overall feelings

At #6 - "Madhouse"

Criteria :

• Tears : 3/10
• Emotion Overload : 3/10
• Skipable album? : Really depends on your mood but most of the time yeah
• Overall Feelings : First of all, not saying it's a bad album but it's one of the albums that you play when you wanna zone out or want to stare at your roof and think about life. It's like a good background album. It's a very weird album but in a good way, I can't exactly pinpoint my feelings on this album.. It can hit you in a very sad moment in your life but when you're feeling normal it's like an album you use to sleep or be soothed with.
  
  In conclusion, very mixed feelings with the album (in a good way) and really just depends on your mood if you'll like the album or not. I feel like you'll really enjoy this album if you're going through a really emotional time and one of the songs hit you.

At #5 - "In a New Bed"

Criteria :

• Tears : 7/10
• Emotion Overload : 5/10
• Skipable album? : Depends on your mood
• Overall Feelings : In a New Bed is one of his oldest albums, now at 7 years old! His first album to go to primary school and is now starting year 4 of it this year. Not a bad album but also not his best. It does introduce Matt's potential but it doesn't full show it.
  
  In conclusion, a good album but not his best, can give you a good cry if you're feeling a certain type of sadness but is a bit underwhelming if we're talking about how emotionally overloading this album is.

At #4 - "Krystal"

Criteria :

• Tears : 4~6.5/10
• Emotion Overload : 2~5/10 (really depends on what song)
• Skipable album? : 50/50, equally have songs you want to skip and some you want to play even if you're not in the mood
• Overall Feelings : Krystal... It's the middle album in my opinion. Middle album as in like very neutral about it and I can't really have any exact opinion about Krystal, the songs are a lot better which is why it's ranked 4th but at the same time it doesn't really have that thing that makes it really good... which is why it's at 4th. Krystal has songs in it that are very special to me but at the same time has songs that I'd skip when I'm not in a specific mood. I'd recommend specific songs in the album but not the whole album itself yk?
  
  In conclusion, mixed emotion playlist... it's like the middle child of his albums but not in a "neglected" kind of way.. it's like "I love you but not really" type of child. Still love it tho (I kiss Rom-Com gone wrong and Wedding Singer-Demo)

At #3 - "Good Morning, It's now Tomorrow"

Criteria :

• Tears : 5~7/10
• Emotion Overload : 6.5~7.5/10 
• Skipable album? : Overall No
• Overall Feelings : GMINT is also a kinda background album but it's a background album in a very good way.. Like the songs are so good that it just makes you zone out or make you want to lay down on your bed and think about the album. The songs in the album is very good when sitting in a car or walking in a very cold road.. This album I would say is really good for the cold weather... It's a cold hue album but also weirdly gives you a warm feeling? This album is like talking to someone or being comforted by someone.
  
  In conclusion. This album is a cold tea, it has the comforting taste of a tea but it's weirdly cold.. but nice? A comforting album in my opinion. If you're in a very sad mood I would recommend this album, though you will either cry or feel comforted by the songs in this album.

At #2 - "Vacant in the 21st Century"

Criteria :

• Tears : 7~9/10
• Emotion Overload : 10.. 11 if I can deviate/10 
• Skipable album? :  : No
• Overall Feelings : The shortest album on this list but I feel like it deserves #2! I feel like its a very underrated album but it carries so much emotions in it.. One of the most emotional overloading albums (very positive). I don't have that much to say on it versus the other albums since it's very short with only two songs but in my head.. I have so much words. With how it's sung, with the little details in the song and the lyrics and everything. It's a very impactful album.. or single.. whatever you wanna call it I call it an album in my head.
  
  In conclusion, very yas... very good for emotional singing and crying.

At #1 - "Bad Contestant"

Criteria :

• Tears : 4~9/10
• Emotion Overload : 6~10/10 
• Skipable album? :  : No!!! NONEEEE
• Overall Feelings : ouh... oh this whole album would have to be my favorite ever. It has all of the best songs of Matt (imo). There's so much to talk about this album that I don't even know where to start haha. Ok, first of all, all of the songs in this album is so catchy, not just catchy but so emotionally impactful too. Sure, not all the songs are gonna make you scream and cry but this album has the perfect mixture of happy and goofy sounding songs mixed with heart wrenching songs, and the songs don't feel like they don't go well together because all of them do go well together and that's the beauty of this album. 
  
  Because of how special and good this album is, I will briefly talk about how good each picked songs are :
  
  Like a Fish - HELLO? THE INSRTUMENTAL IN THIS? THE LYRICS? THE CHORUS?? ITS SO HEARTWRENCHING BUT SO CATCHY. The build up for the final chorus and the overall emotions of this song just hits so well.. Especially with the context of the lyrics it really makes you want to experience the exact same feeling just to cry it out while singing. This song is just that powerful
  
  Sweet 16 - Just a silly funky song ! I love the back vocals its so good.. IDK HOW TO SAY IT BUT IT JUST ITCHES..ITS JUST A SONG THAT SCRATCHES YOUR HEAD
  
  As the World Caves in - Yes.. the tiktok song.. but that doesn't mean that it's a bad song.. It deserves its place in the "good tiktok songs"
  
  Bad Contestant - another silly funky song hehehe it's similiar to Sweet 16
  
  Nighclub Love - It doesn't really hit that much sometimes but when it does.. when you're in the right mood and emotions it does very much ruin you
  
  In conclusion. One of the best albums and the album I will always recommend to people. Especially the picked songs. Will forever love this album because no words can describe how much I like it..
