D&D meet 2

Hello, and welcome to the second dnd meeting.

Your players walk out of the tavern and see a bunch of posters lining the ground. Your real quest starts here:

replica I made of one of the posters:

Poster ReplicaIn a town like saltmarsh word travels fast. Don’t get me wrong, secrets are well kept but this was no secret. This news was plastered across all of the tattered posters lining the muddy grounds of the little fishing village. There was no theater in the town of saltmarsh and the inhabitants certainly didn’t seem the type to be into the arts, so when news started flying around that a traveling theater  had decided to make one of its stops a shady fishing village it of course sparked some intrigue. In fact there was so much intrigue that the weathered town square had become packed in wait of what some clearly well off thespians had to offer.

The traveling theater seemed underwhelming at first. It was just a wagon turned into a makeshift theater from afar, although as trashy as it seems it felt almost whimsical and had a slight buzz to it. It was painted intricately portraying what seems to be a variation of heaven and hell. The “heaven” or so it seems, was depicted as being a bright and cheery town in the clouds.

The clouds in question were so fluffy it appears that one could simply pass their hand through the painting itself. It was completely captivating to the viewer, well it would be if the gruesome hellscape below didn’t drag the eye downwards at every  misbehaved decision of one’s peripheral vision. The painting was utterly horrifying depicting utter chaos as masses seem to be trying to graphically kill the others. The sight of it alone makes the viewer want to simultaneously heave and gouge their eyes out of their sockets- the curtains start to slowly open, from the wagon and onto the stage comes two bulky possible half orcs? Anyways they’re wearing masks.

“Hello folks, before we start the show I would like to make it known we’re having a lottery”

This comes from one of the performers, arms stretching out as the other hurriedly takes off his hat and starts getting people to write their names.

Of course our lovely trio has the grand idea to join in and the rest of the performers walk out onto the stage area.
