Why is love so complicated

I hate love. I wish it was easier than it actually is. I can go through the process of having a crush on someone and like hoping they recipracate my love but then the second i start dating someone i feel like i immediately lost feelings and i feel like i have to keep going in the relationship in order to not hurt there feelings. Idk if its bc ive only ever been with one other person but its so confusinggggg. And along with the knowledge that its been years since ive actually ever had a "crush" on somebody. I miss having a crush on somebody it was a great feeling
