Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep? S5E13 psych review

I love this episode of mlp!! The one where the monster Princess Luna created to give herself nightmares so she has to relieve transforming into Nightmare Moon and hurting her friends every night to punish herself escapes into other dreams, and she tries in vain to stop it alone because she doesn’t want to let anyone else get hurt on her behalf, and she can only stop the monster after she forgives herself and lets go of her guilt! And Twilight and her friends make Luna see that by trying so desperately to stop the monster from entering the real world (“Equestria will fall…because of ME!”), she’s proving that she is a different person now. She’s not Nightmare Moon anymore, and the only way to protect everyone and save the world is by forgiving herself. Realizing she doesn’t deserve to be punished forever when she’s grown enough as a person to see what she did was wrong!😭😭😭 the eternal agony of being hard on yourself…the painful struggle of trying to go easier on yourself…….my beloved blorbo………if I snapped and tried to seize power and destroy the world out of jealousy and then was banished to the moon and then was released from my 1000 year exile and welcomed back into society and offered friendship, there is NO way I could live with the guilt. Do you know how mad I get at myself and how many nights I keep thinking about it when I make some tiny mistake no one even noticed?? SALUTE PRINCESS LUNA, GOD’S STRONGEST SOLDIER
