Festa Italiana Returns in 2023!

Super excited that I got the news that Festa Italiana is returning Friday, September 8th to Sunday, September 10th, 2023, at the Italian Community Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin! I've been attending the show with my family almost every year since 1997. And have been vlogging it since 2016. Almost since the beginning of time lol, Festa Italiana was hosted at the Summerfest grounds. But since I started vlogging it, Festa has undergone a lot of changes! Check out my 2016 vlog for the full Festa experience. Then in 2017 due to various reasons they cut the size of Festa Italiana in half, using about half of the Summerfest grounds. Check out my 2019 vlog for that unique experience. Then 2020 happened. Was this finally the end of Festa Italiana, which clearly has been struggling financially? Much to our surprise it was announced Festa Italiana would return in 2022! But for the first time ever instead of the Summerfest grounds, it would be hosted a couple blocks over at the Italian Community Center. I was a little nervous about it being hosted at a much smaller venue, but of course I had to check it out. Which I did in my 2022 vlog. And I was pleasantly surprised! It was basically almost all the things we have come to love about Festa Italiana over the years: Food, music, dancing, singing, cooking... bocce ball lol, in a more compact, sorta cozy environment. No walking 1/2 mile to pick up your food. Two big things missing though unfortunately, that being the fireworks and sky ride. The later of course nothing they can do about. I do hope they eventually figure out a way to incorporate fireworks. We're still fairly close to the lake. I'll walk over to the lake to watch fireworks no problem lol. And it was announced once again that Festa Italiana would return to the ICC in 2023. Thought maybe they would go back to July. But no, it will be again in late summer. Generally the feedback has been fairly positive about the new location. While I was hoping they were going to try the Summerfest grounds again, with all the struggles they have been having since I guess 2017, I kinda knew deep down it is probably not going to happen again. Whatever it takes to keep the show going, that is what's most important. And of course I will be there vlogging the festivities.
