Kundalini Yoga 🧘‍♀️

MODERN KUNDALINI TEACHING FOR ALL LIFESTYLES:

I'm a spirutal atheist, so my teachings are a very practical and science backed approach to spirituality. My beliefs align with the writings of authors like Andre Comte-Sponville or Sam Harris who offer insights on the benfiets of spiritual rituals for both beleivers and non believers. I also feel that many paranormal or psychic phenomenon are natural survival skills we can enhance in a realistic manner. My Kundalini teaching is modern and easily digestible for anyone of any background. My goal is to bring practical benefits into my life and the life of others with these kyrias, not force anyone into anything extreme. I don't always wear white or follow traditional scripts but I do so in a respectful manner that doesn't dilute the orginal intentions of the practice. I still have strict rules on the impoart areas like how the kyrias are performed but students can wear whatever clothes they want and follow the diet or religion (or lack of religion) of their choice.

My first impression of Kundalini I felt was similar to "adult Kindergarten" where we all let go of our inhibitions and let our inner child's out, embarrassment being a humbling part of the practice. I also find a Kundalini class a good outlet for people with physical tics or stims and can be great therapy for those with ADHD or Autism. It's a safe space to actively self stimulate without added stress of poor environment or negative interference and can be a good prevention tool to reduce public meltdowns and over stimulation. Many of the movements and breathwork I've learned also reminds me of techniques I've been given by psychologists in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy to manage my autism and anxiety.

My aim is to target an audience of skeptics and knowledge seekers like myself who may otherwise not be interested in metaphysics. For me, my practice has cultivated more detachment and logical thinking skills and helps me to keep stoic and be more objective. So in a way my practice makes me a better Skeptic. Each pose or chant has a why and reason and is linked to physical parts of activating our parasympathetic nervous system which leads to many benefits for anxiety and stress reduction to name a few.
