these looks were adorable, don't get me wrong, scaris cleo is probably my favourite cleo de nile doll, but it pales in comparison to what we could have gotten, in my opinion. . . 

this feels like it deserved a section under the scaris label too, freaky fusion had so many fucking lines that i don't see the LITERAL FASHION SHOW FROM THE MOVIE ABOUT FASHION not getting a line making much sense.

draculaura looks this amazing and its wasted. . . 

also clawdeen here??

her hair is soooo gorgeous, it would have easily made her my favourite clawdeen doll.

this is like my favourite clawdeen design.

it reminds me of a natural version of my favourite clawdeen design, ghouls rule clawdeen

this draculaura is my favourite, and yes she resembles howliday draculaura but imo that doll is a little ugly. . . .

but this draculaura is GORGEOUS.

and lagoona, sh's so cute!!

cleo's a little basic. . . but i think a doll couldhave upped the glam with an extra fashion piece 

frankie is cute, but suffers from cleo issues 

ABBEY IS CUTE!!!

but these outfits. . . .

particularly draculaura and lagoona feel more budget doll to me 

they feel like they should have been a little cheaper 

i just feel like the bottom row here doesn't feel on the same level as the first row

like the first row is well designed, amazing, beautiful

and the second row is giving slightly lower budget.  

i still love these dolls ofc !!

but i just feel robbed of potential every time i watch scaris city of frights. . . 

scaris city of frights more like scaris city of wasted potential.

generation 3 of monster high is up to date on current trends, and i'd like to highlight some of those as well as those of g3 that aged well !!

she's very classicly y2k themed, so she's pretty popular among fans atm

this clawdeen just happens to be my favourite and i need to include her before talking about more trend-following mh dolls 

look she's not perfect, i know the fandom reacted negatively to her, but imo she's pretty up to date on the trend of 70s / 80s vibes  that some people like, this romper like thing she's wearing is kinda really 70s, and her colourful top is very 80s 

personally i think she's adorable, and comes with great pieces that are just the right amount of tacky for mh 

in mh, its clear characters have certain aesthetics they associate with each ghoul, which as a result has each ghoul appealing to the interests of people who fall into those aesthetics and niches 

this budget doll's top ad skirt are cute for clawdeen, that is all.

and now for some generation one dolls that aged well, because skulltimate secrets can be its own continuation on the subject of mh being fashionable and focused on niche aesthetics

people are still trying to emulate this style in their everyday dress!!

hell i'm still trying to dress like killer style / maul draculaura every day lmao 

literally so many people are still trying to be elissabat in terms of fashion, she appeals to so many, but these are all obvious picks. . . 

i'd lik to propose fierce rockers clawdeen as my wild card, she's gorgeous, i'm sorry.

the gold lip, the accents, the black top

i feel like so many of you would say "i want this to be me"

it has such a cool aunt energy who drinks wine and lets you stay up late playing flashgames kind of vibe. 

its so tacky yet so stylish. 

its the type of energy you'd probably hope to emulate when you get old.

look, i get the hate for the g2 dolls but oh my ghoulness, g2 wasn't that bad !!

i'm not gonna preach about shriekwrecked ( that line was recycled wave 1 ) but i am going to talk about electrified.

this movie is cute !! 

its a little absurd, but it has the monster high spirit.

if you for some reason think monster high wasn't all puns and sweetness. . . ur so wrong, go watch the g1 webisodes for the love of claw. 

at the very core, the electrified doll line is an 80s themed chaotic mess, and it does it's theme so well. 

whether you like the 80s or not is the question on if you'll find it fashionable.

tbh i really love silvi timberwolf and love her shoes here, i just wanna change her out of that outfit bc its ugly to me but again, this thing does its theme pretty well, exaggerated 80s crazy is just not my personal aesthetic, but i love her hair here, i think the crimped hair of this line is so freaky-fab

draculaura from this line is pretty cute, and that's all i can, she's cute

i think twyla is my favourite from this line, i love her shoes, her dress, her bow, her earrings!!!

in fact mattel loved these earrings so much they used the mold again for generation 3 twyla. 

my least favourite from this line is frankie and honestly, it is just the g2 face looking like a toddler, bc otherwise i think the look is fine, its really cute in the animation !!

i'm in love with electrified clawdeen.

and that is all i have to say on her.

she's just my second fave.
