Wendigo: The Evil Spirit of the Winter

Hello little ones, after a little time thinking about a topic to talk about, I found one.

Well this one I really did a whole research on the topic im talking about because in the previous ones I really didn't know what I was talking about (expect for the "The Bystander effect one).

First of all, we need to know what is the wendigo. The wendigo is a mythological creature or evil spirit originating from the folklore of Plains and Great Lakes Natives as well as some First Nations. It is often depicted as a malevolent spirit or creature with human-like characteristics that possesses human beings. The wendigo is associated with winter, the north, coldness, famine, and starvation. According to some legends, the wendigo was once a legendary hunter who turned to cannibalism and became a terrifying beast feared by all.

He's basically a skinwalker with a cow skull in its head.

One of the most famous wendigo stories is that of Swift Runner, a Cree man who lived in the late 19th century. Swift Runner and his family were known for their hunting skills and knowledge of the wilderness. However, in the winter of 1878, Swift Runner's family disappeared. When he was questioned about their disappearance, Swift Runner claimed that they had died of starvation.

However, when a search party found the remains of Swift Runner's family, it became clear that they had been killed and eaten. Swift Runner was arrested and later executed for the crime. Many believed that he had been possessed by the wendigo spirit and that this had led him to resort to cannibalism.

Other wendigo stories include encounters with the creature in the forests and wilderness areas of North America. People who have seen the wendigo describe it as a terrifying creature that is both powerful and malevolent. Some believe that the wendigo is a metaphor for the harshness of the wilderness and the dangers of the unknown.

If you plan to hike in the woods, and live in the northern United States or southern Canada, be careful not to run into..... it.
