kidd pirates thoughts.. (OP SPOILERS)

i think it's a little ridiculous that people still undermine eustass kidd & his abilities by comparing him to luffy and law. it's true, he doesn't come close to them in terms of strength, but we have to remember that he made it to the top all by himself.

law's fruit, the ope ope no mi, was fed to him by corazon. it's one of the strongest paramecia devil fruits out there and it's worth a grand total of 5 billion berries. if you were to capture kaido it still wouldn't be enough to buy the ope ope no mi. that's how ridiculously strong and valued it is.

luffy doesn't really need much explaining, especially with his recent awakening and confirmation that he is infact joyboy, sun god Nika. but putting that aside, his haki was taught to him by the king of pirates' righthand reyleigh, and he has the will of "D" (as does Law) who were all destined for greatness and we've seen it time and time again. at a young age he was also tossed around and forced to face danger by Garp so that by itself could've had some part in strengthening him.

but what did kidd have? nothing, and no one. he grew up with killer, and eventually joined forces with heat & wire to avenge his friend (victoria). they formed their own pirate crew, ventured on into the seas and made a name for themselves. their name spread far and wide and eventually kidd was on par with and fighting alongside the two strongest of the worst generation.

people need to understand that his supposed defeat by shanks doesn't mean that he's weak. we're talking about SHANKS. as far as we know he could probably one shot luffy, too. does that make luffy weak? does it get rid of his accomplishments? of course not. looking at the chapter again it shows you that shanks himself was intimidated by kidd, and had he not looked into the future he would've been completely wiped out.

im hopeful that this isn't the end of the kidd pirates, and some people even pointed out that the formatting of the end of the chapter telling you that the kidd pirates have been eliminated is the exact same as when the straw hats were wiped out by kuma.
