rest and play and errands - day10

Hellooo day 10! I have been flopping and doing these much later in the day than I want to and subsequently having them be kind of low quality and low energy… but alas …… the consistency is the important part!!!

Today was good. I had the pleasure of sleeping in with my lovebug after a sleep deprived day yesterday, and had a nice gentle morning with pookie…:)

After leaving her to do her school stuff which she does so diligently, I got some errands done, picked up some groceries and some jewelry wire to wrap that sea-glass that ava and I found and took a long walk in a beautiful park. I would like to have stayed longer but I was overdressed for the weather! Wearing just a sweater and pants! It was really really warm today for the first time this season and I was getting HOT! So I went home and had some tea and read for a while and did my laundry, and then it was time to go out with squad. Thank you to Squeezy for invite.

We sat down by the lake and I had some kombucha and a couple of herbal smokes and we stayed there until it got too cold. Then we went to the park and played grounders, which was so much fun, I haven’t done that since I was little and just playing at the park and running around and chasing each other was so awesome and such a great way to feel connected and present. And get some freaking exercise in!! I almost peed myself a couple times while we were at the park I won’t even lie. Then we went back to Da Pad and played president and then Jack box… a day of play. I had so much fun . I feel like play is such an integral part of building relationships and I think I should remember that next time I want to become someone’s friend. We ate a bag of clementines. I love love love my friends so much. My squad is beautiful and glorious .

Now I’m in bed post-shower and I feel clean and happy and sleepy… I’m going to go to sleep and hopefully have an epic and productive day tomorrow!

I’m very grateful to finally be having this designated time to rest after grinding to finish my semester (and my degree!!). It is very very very nourishing and rewarding…. NEEDED THIS!!!!!!!
