Despite the blessed curse of everlasting life to perfect what has been so carefully constructed, a gimmick can only last for so long. Can it not?
Do consider, with an everlasting lifetime, with there being no particular chance in happening, would it not be sensible to presume something may never happen despite such an agonizing wait?
Although one must suppose and consider contributing factors.
One's life is everlasting. One's gimmick is transient. One's writing is transient.
One feels mortal more than ever before.
