oc rambling 2 (opha and opal continued)

i'm rotating opha and opal again, but mostly opha because i've had opal as an oc for literal years now. but i'm thinking about opha's mission- like what his purpose is. i think that a lot of people who are within the end are trying to come back on to the surface (like endermen have been doing for a long time).

and a lot of opha and opal's kingdom think that the overworld is dead / devoid of life-mostly because of libraries being eaten by void-matter and endermites. so a lot of the narrative of their life before their kind fell into the void is erased. (i am glad that this was partially canonized with the minecraft dungeons DLC with the pillagers :3.)

so i think opha's sweaty and distressed ass went to the overworld and got adopted by his friends (tba, dez's crab guy and nico, my boyfriend's character) and kind of forgot his mission- because he's finally been able to be himself after years and years of not doing so. so he gets to learn about the whimsy of the world and like. grows into himself, because opha was never really - meant for royalty- which isn't a bad thing- it just wasn't his thing.

opal probably gets dispersed to go look for his brother / see if hes alive so they can make settlements on the overworld again (which is why i believe they're collecting blocks.) it's all coming together.
