I'm noticing more and more people joining but all they have is some company name and a ton of hashtags at the end of their about me. they never add anyone, and all they do is make more accounts. is there a sufficient way to combat this? :/
Can we do something about these businesses who keep spamming the new people section of SpaceHey?

Best you can do is report them, which once An encouraged everyone to report them if you see them.

Not really. They are not violating the Terms Of Service - which allows commercial entities to make profiles (cf. "4. Third-Party Links & Ads").
And really the number of them is quite small. Some of them are amusing, like advertising Superior Pool Maintenance in Pocatello Idaho. Of somewhat greater concern to me are the profiles advertising escort services, that is to say prostitutes, mostly in India. But is that illegal, even in India? IDK.
