Journal Entry #31: 04/07/23

Um, I don't really have anything creative to start out this blog post lol

Uhh...I've had Shoehorn with Teeth stuck in my head for a couple weeks now, those low reeds sure are something.

I'm halfway through my (essentially last) break from high school. I really just did my work yesterday (save for one assignment). I was actually debating on whether or not I was gonna complete some of the already assigned e-learning work for Tuesday. I decided against it, I'll just do some of that work Monday night.

I've kinda made it my mission to rewatch Lain, considering I first watched it about a year ago. The show's pretty confusing and I hope that this rewatch will help me make sense of it, or at least allow me to come to a conclusion. 

Also, speaking of shows, Murder Drones episode 4 came out! I'll likely make a review post about tomorrow, but I will say right now that it took me by surprise and really made my heart pound. 

I caught myself looking at messages from my ex today. It's been about a year since we broke up, and because of how I distanced myself during the relationship, I felt very little in terms of emotion when coping. I really shouldn't be looking at those messages. It wasn't love, perhaps some strange obsession or passion. We spent a lot of time together, me and him. Yet, it feels so far removed from me now. Maybe it's because of the pandemic. Though, I shouldn't be focused on getting a lover right now; I don't really have any close friends at the moment. That's how I ended up dating my ex anyway; he was a close friend of mine first.

Oh, and Easter's coming up. Though I don't really practice, I'll be joining my parents. Easter is such an interesting holiday for me; it always seems to represent the climax of spring, but also rebirth. I got some new stuff to wear to the service as well. I'll likely write about feelings on Easter in a separate post on Sunday.

There are a few things I want to do tomorrow: finish an application essay, draw something for Easter, and write that blog about the new Murder Drones episode.
