Something abt realism

Did u know that realism is not what people think it is? like realism is not a drawing that looks like a photo or something like that. it actually can be a literature genre, an art style and more! its about capturing the real life in lower classes, its normally related w leftism, kinda obvious. one really famous artist is gustave coubet thats normally regarded as the father of realism. one of his famous painting is "the stone breakers". this is the 1800s. later on, around the 40s , there was neorealism, i think it was more abt movies. it was like a new wave of realism.

Bcs of that i think is so funny the conservative people that say that they want realism back, cause they defenetly dont cause it haves liberal left ideals and well, they r conservative. They say that because they like to see scuptures of buffed men and paintigs of naked woman lol. They probably say that modern art and abstract act is "degenerate" witch is a term used by fascist, bcs for them, everything that isnt "beautiful" its bad. And yes, i think conservative people ARE fascist.

I just wantd to point that out bcs im obcessed w stuff like this but idk anyone who also likes art history or whatever u can call this.

(my first language isnt english so sorry for any mistakes)

When you mentioned film in the 40s, my mind went to Westerns.

Late 40s is when you start to see the subgenre of 'revisionist westerns' where it wasn't about good guys/white hats, bad guys/black hates, but more about shades of grey and grittier, sometimes darker plot tones and such.

And your English is FINE. Only smal, thing was maybe using 'witch' instead of 'which', native English speakers make mistakes like that all the time too, so you write like English is your first language!

With love,
Macey
