she’d been the warmth that overcame the cold and the reverence of the agony of ice that pricked at my supple skin & she’d pick the pieces one by one and rebuild my form as she caressed each crevice that adorned my deteriorating complexion & had worshipped it as i was a paragon,an unrefined gem that sat pretty & naive. incapable of repeating foregone faults.
her eyes wandered past all flaws & petty remarks as her lips trembled as she saw the marks of society’s grip that adorned my flesh as i was unable to weep at my own sorrows she’d decided she’d do it for me
