in today's ever-important electronics quiz: i aced it. or, well, i would have, would it not have been for a minuscule arithmetic error. you see, i found in a pnp bipolar junction transistor in active region of operation the emitter current and the base current with ease. therefore, collector current, what was important for a big amount of the problem was as simple as ie - ib = ic, or .4mA -.006 mA = ???
if you have passed any level of mathematics then you'd know that the answer would be .394mA. and yet, and YET, i somehow manage to fuck it up and write down .334mA. POINT THREE THREE FOUR. thus, my collector voltage and my β values were both wrong by extension. though, i am absolutely certain if i put .394mA in place of where i put .334, i will get the correct answers, thus i will be sure to ask that my grade be altered should it be egregiously low due the simple (and unrelated!!) mistake.
we still have two more grades for this class. here's hoping my arithmetic keeps up.
