The Craft is an amazing movie about a girl who had just moved to a Los Angeles after an attempted suicide and enrolls in a catholic high school but struggles to fit in. There are 3 girls that take a liking to her though, Nancy, Rochelle, and Bonnie. They are described as "witches" by others but especially from Chris. (Who is Nancy's ex.) Sarah decides to do a love spell over Chris to make him like her, which works. Everything ends up being okay until Nancy decides to invoke the spirit of Manon (Who is everything in nature.) After that everything crumbles into dust. Their friendship is broken and Chris becomes severely obsessive to the point he can't do anything without Sarah and even shows up at her window at 3 in the morning. Everything sucks so Sarah decides to leave the circle (her coven with Nancy, Rochelle, and Bonnie.) Then things get even WORSE. Sarah's delusions and hallucinations came back to haunt her only this time even more extreme. Snakes and maggots everywhere. Covering the house, not letting her leave her home, all over the walls, and even a toilet full of maggots. (Talk about a total gag!) Anyways, Nancy reveals it was her who made her hallucinations come back and tells Sarah "If I was as pathetic as you were, I would've killed myself ages ago, so get on with it." Sarah fights through it and doesn't like a queen though. Then Nancy slices Sarah's wrists with her dagger and Sarah runs up to her room. Almost dying, she invokes the spirit. But instead of bringing it to a dark place and abusing it like Nancy, Sarah will bring it into a place of light. It works and Nancy tries to kill Sarah for real this time since it's taking to long. But Sarah disappears and makes Nancy turn into bugs but lo and behold it was a hallucination spell she cast on Nancy. She then binds Nancy from doing any harm and puts her in a sanitarium. Then later on Bonnie and Rochelle come back and ask Sarah if she still has powers because they don't. Sarah doesn't reply and they make fun of her and Sarah delivers by making it storm and making a tree branch almost crush them. They run off terrified.
This movie accurately depicts Witchcraft as well and I love it. <3
