Am I trippin??

My school friend group consists of 7 people (8 including me)..and i'm in an argument with one of em right now. SHITS JUST NOT MAKING SENSE. Let's call the two main people in this situation Friend A and Friend B.

Ok so our group was supposed to go to the new DnD movie. Cause I had brought up how it looks insanely good. So we were planning to go, but then reality hit me and my households money issues + the planning got stressful so my desire to go slowly faded. I truly wanted to make it work though cause I love spending time with people. Fast forward to the day of; I had to cancel cause I mentally couldn't handle going out that day. Along with not wanting to make someone else pay for me (it felt weird). Everyone else had cancelled too so nobody even ended up going to the movies. Lmao.

My mom noticed I was a bit off so she suggested I have someone over for a 1 on 1 to ease the stress. No money spent. No huge group of people. So I invited Friend A to come over cause they was on their monthly and didn't even wanna go to the movie in the first place.

When friend B found out we were hanging out, They got PISSED. Their main reason being because I "wasn't transparent and didn't just tell them that i wanted to hang out with Friend A 1 on 1 rather than hanging with the whole group" and that I was patronizing and that it was "sneaky"...

FIRST OF ALL. We only knew we were gonna hang out HOURSSS after everyone had already cancelled..............Anyways We both had valid reasons as to why we didn't go and just needed some chill time. We also don't need permission to hang out like- we aren't obligated to tell you shit. Nobody else in the group had an issue with it except for Friend B. There was no ill intent and definitely no "sneakiness" .

Friend B constantly preaches to me about how I need to be more transparent and work on communication n shit. Acting as if you are my nigga....ARE YOU MY BOYFRIEND?! NO. I'm very well aware that I can work on my communication when it comes to a lot of things. You don't gotta tell me that lmao. I can understand where they are coming from but the whole situation was really never that deep. It never had to be a whole argument. I wasted hours of my life arguing with that mf about this shit tryna fix whatever the hell happened just for them to not even listen to me.
