Ive genuinely been so bored for the past few months and for the LONGEST time ive wanted to start up a youtube channel or something just to have something to do.
The only issue is youtube/twitch and all that stuff is SO PAINFULLY HARD TO GET FOLLOWERS ON its insane.
I had a youtube channel like 2(ish?) years ago and it took forever just to get 50 subs and even then everything I made wouldn't even views they just subbed but never actually watched it. I even did some of that annoying advertising shit which I hate to do but I guess it had to be done
Either way are there any good ways to start up a channel (Twitch, youtube, etc.) and gain following quickly? Cause I'm assuming there was probably a ton of stuff that I didn't do that would've helped a ton

part time streamer here!!! (like really part time)
i would stream on youtube! to me, it feels a lot more accessible than twitch, plus you can make your streams into shorts and shortform video for more views! plus, youtube's content payout is 70/30 than twitch's 50/50, which means you get more money!
also, be consistent! consistency is key when building a following! start a streaming schedule and stick to it.
