Springtime!!! - Writepril day 3

Yayy day 3! 

I'm just really enjoying the springtime. I have been more consistently grounded and present over the past few months than I have been in a long time, and it feels good to take each day slowly and breathe in warm wet air when I step outside. I love seeing flowers and hearing birds sing and smelling the earth after rain. Last week, wifey and I saw our first crocuses of the season. Yesterday, my beautiful beloved and prosperous squad spent the day outside in the sunshine, sitting in an empty parking lot and running around in the grass, and today I spent the day soaking up the beautiful mild weather with bestie, getting ourselves snacks and kombucha and setting up a little impromptu picnic by Cocoon River, followed by a break to sit and have tea, then collecting sea glass by the beach, in between running away from a couple of swans that kept coming a little bit too close just to fuck with us or something. I have a lot to look forward to and I feel really good about it all. Each day is a blessing. I guess it's easy for me to say that while I'm putting off writing my thesis paper. Once that's done I'll be done with school for real, and I think writepril will be a good way of maintaining my writing practice outside of school.
