I believe that our souls will briefly exist as ghost-like figures until our bodies decompose but that after that, they rejoin the giant soul blob that then provides consciousness to future people.
I don’t think so. The very fact we are conscious suggests to me that we are special. How can there be nothing? When we die, it can’t be the end because nothingness is impossible.
I don't personally believe this. I view my body as a kind of vessel for whatever spiritual essence exists within me. The mechanisms(?) (like my brain, voice, body, face, etc.) by which my parts of my soul are expressed to other people may be gone, but I think the energy of my soul goes elsewhere. Like, have you ever just sat in a forest or near the beach when nobody else is around? Can you feel the...buzz of life around you? I'm not just talking about the sounds that animals may be making. I'm talking about the caress of the wind or the strength of the trees. There's...something else there. I think that's where souls go.
absolutely makes sense! you made me ponder a bit. i also think that we truly are part of the nature with how easily in tune we can be with it and we dont even notice sometimes! thank u for your comment
I’d say no, I’m not religious but I would say I’m spiritual in my own way. I think that your soul is reincarnated, I like to think about “energy cannot be created nor destroyed” so I think that souls are “recycled”?? I’m not 100 percent sure but that’s how I think about it rn
I feel like I dont really agree with the statement! When you die sure your physical body dies with you but people dear to you will still feel your presence, people will feel your smile in their memories and people will feel how you felt when reading letters or messages behind and etc. Like similiar to how someone would read a romantic writer's work and feel the love from it !!
Also happy to see another filo here in heyspace hehe

This is exactly what I think happens. We're all just small parts of one universal soul that gets divided and rearranged into new people.
