it takes strength to be gentle and kind

and i think i'm slowly accomplishing being gentle and kind. at least a little. it's so rewarding to grow out of that bitter stage that everyone goes through as a teenager. i don't think i was a bully; i was bullied too much to be a bully. but i was so angry. it's so much easier to be angry than it is to be gentle and kind. 

anyway, quoting the smith's is so wildly humbling.
