Banger Video Essay Collection

I'm sure many of you out there in Spacehey Land are avid video essay viewers like myself. As such, I would like to turn you on to some hours-long, irrelevant, certified bangers. If you guys have any suggestions for additions to this list, leave a comment and I might make a part 2 at some point.

I Watched All the Peanuts Specials You Didn't Know Existed by Big Beak Entertainment

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IbHPpTmCgd4

Over an hour of discussing Peanuts (aka Charlie Brown) specials that I can guarantee you've never heard of. I love deep dives into franchises I like, so this video is perfect for that. Along with that, the narrator has a calm voice and a relaxed vibe.

Here's What We Missed on Glee by Mic the Snare

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2a8FEqrG8c4

Mic the Snare primarily makes music review based content, but this video is a full breakdown and review of Glee. Have I ever watched Glee? No. Did that stop me from enjoying this video? Absolutely Not. If you enjoy the format of this video, I also recommend his "Deep Discog Dive" series.

ROBLOX_OOF.mp3 by hbomberguy

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0twDETh6QaI

King of Video Essays: hbomberguy brings us a 2 hour long video on the origin of the Roblox Oof sound. At least, it starts off being about that before spiraling off into a deep dive about the "creator" of the sound, Tommy "My Mother Is Very Proud" Tallarico.

The Intellivision Amico Scandal | Crowdfunding Documentary by Slope's Game Room

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BgAarlzVD4

Was 2 hours about the trials and tribulations of Tommy Tallarico not enough? Well, here's a 4 Hour Long behemoth on just the Intellivision Amico, Tommy's still unreleased venture into video game console development.

Msscribe: The Harry Potter Fandom's Greatest Con-Artist - When Posting Goes Wrong by Eldena Doubleca5t

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_DZd78WLQY

If you like drama, especially internet drama, then you're not ready for vintage internet drama. I won't spoil the twists and turns this story takes but oh boy, is it wild. All I'll tell you is that it's a story of trickery and tomfoolery in the early days of the online Harry Potter fandom. Just a really great watch.

Skin Theory by Doug Woolever

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vb-ajY8M6gI

More of a pastiche of long-winded, overthought video essays/theorycrafting, Skin Theory is a humorous but nonetheless well-made venture analyzing the abundance of jokes in Spongebob that relate to characters adding, removing, or donning body parts or the skins of other characters.

Ranking Every Spongebob Episode, Movie, and Spinoff by Nathaniel Bandy

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GwL8lA3MIMI

Seven and a half hours of Spongebob reviews, organized by season and then organized from worst to best. If you're just looking for a long video to have in the background, this is it. But this is also just a really well-made video and this amount of work shouldn't go unappreciated.

The Failure of Victorious AND The End of Victorious by Quinton Reviews

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yA-rsBH1NP4

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77Mag2pykDw

This is two separate videos, one 5 hours, the other 8 hours. Quinton Reviews is the other king of video essays and I think any of his videos are a must see. This two-parter on Victorious is my personal favorite.

Well, that's it for now. The videos on this list altogether total about 32 hours so I'll see you in 32 hours (in the case that you don't sleep or eat or use the bathroom any time soon). As I said, leave any recommendations in the comments and I might make a part 2 of this list. Happy viewing everyone!
