The Australian Grand Prix. My god, what a race. 3 Red Flags, almost half of the entire field wiped out, what more could I ask for?
McLaren finally got some points! All it took was the Alpines taking themselves out and Sainz escaping a wreck he caused. May whatever deity above bless this sport.
Also this was a 3½ hour stream, so you know the people running the cable companies were very pleased with things going on for longer than usual. VERY PLEASED :)
Jokes aside, This was more than a fuster cluck of a race, and the ending was just plain wild. I don't have a lot to bitch about, it was a weird and quirky race

The whole race felt like a $%&@ show to watch. It was very entertaining, but how the FIA implements some of these rules for the sake of spectacle really undermine the "sporting" foundation of the whole thing.
While I 100% understand that nobody wants to end under a safety car -- that "boring" finish at least protects the integrity and placements earned by the drivers vs. this everything before the red flag doesn't matter shotgun blast to the finish chaos we saw.
Exactly. Like, WHY? Oh well, hopefully next GP is better. (watch me say this every blog lmao)
