I HAVE TO TALK ABOUT THE NEW BODY OF LIGHT TRACK

I know maybe I'm shouting into the void a bit here, but I'm stoked to have an outlet for such fanboy behavior. My first introduction to Body Of Light was their sophomore album Time To Kill, a proto-ebm darling and instant classic. I can't think of that summer without thinking of Time To Kill, it was the perfect soundtrack to my life and is already saturated in nostalgia after such little time. Of course, I saw them on the Summer Reflections tour with Drab Majesty and Xeno & Oaklander with a dear friend of mine. I have lots of fond memories singing their songs on my 1970s Japan roadbike I got off craigslist and riding down the woodland trails weaving in and out of city in a dreamlike state... I digress...

ANYWAYS fast forward to like a week ago they announced their new LP Bitter Reflections and let me tell you I preordered that shit so fucking fast!!!

So obviously I'm living for the lead track Never Ever, you know that feel when the synthpop hits just right and this one carries a distinct 80's influence, weaving in an irresistible saxophone.

So naturally I add it to an event I'm doing the music for: K's skate night because it's a wonderful track to rollerskate to in my opinion. (I had already tested in a solo sesh) E stops me literally in the middle of a toe spin to ask what the song was bc it was so good they HAD to know. LIKE WOW!!

so yeah, I really can't hype up Body of Light enough, Listen to Never Ever, RIP to my classic whip shirt I lost.
