'Revoking' pronouns

[Rising from dusty, freshly unearthed, million yearold coffin] Hi all, back from the dead... Particularly from writing actual blog posts, not movie reviews hah. But anywho, onto my topic of the day; 

This is inspired by the aftermath of the Nashville shooting. (Link includes timeline of events, if anyone cares for that. :p) After the news that Hale is a transgender man, Immediately conservative biased news stations jumped the gun to say that 'transgenderism' is a direct link to violence, and that they finally have a 'real' reason to hate transgender individuals. (Which they won't admit the second half, but we all know it.) I can go on about their baseless hate and how 1:100 ratios of transgender shooters to cisgender shooters does not prove a violence streak in all transgender people, but I'm going to save that topic for a future post, once I have more info saved up. 

Instead, this is about how people are using this shooting as a means to "revoke" Hale's proper pronouns. I am a firm believer that you don't have to respect someone, but you can't choose to call them the wrong pronouns because of it. It's harmful to every transgender person, not just Hale personally. It's just a blatant excuse to be transphobic. People don't revoke he/him pronouns from Jeffery Dahmer, Ed Gein, Adam Lanza, robert Crimo, Dylann Roof, Bryan Kohberger, and so on. People despise them for their actions yet still respect their pronouns, so why does it change because a person is transgender? Pronouns are not a respect-given thing, people do not get to pick-and-choose what respects someone gets because they don't like someone.
