Last night, I played my first show with my band, Belleville Tweed, which consists of myself on guitar and vocals, and Sarah on bass. We didn't play with a drummer, but rather backing tracks controlled by a laptop using a program I made! We played 6 songs, 4 being songs written by the band, and the final 2 being songs I wrote as a solo artist.
Setlist
- Planthead
- 200 Days (unreleased)
- Drop The Knife (unreleased)
- Nosebleed (unreleased)
- Carry On (unreleased)
- Love Stinks (released on my Demo collection)
If you want some more details you can check out the blog entry I made last night before the show, >here<
What went right
- The drum tool worked flawlessly
- The crowd reacted well to the music
What went wrong
- Pedal control is very difficult when singing into a microphone
- More vocal warmups were needed, I struggled to really get into the performance vocally until the 2nd or 3rd song.
- Various performance mistakes
- We couldn't hear the drums very well so timing issues happened during a few tracks
