all the highlighted lyrics are lyrics i analyzed. feel free to share opinions on this sing in the comments!! (also some of my analysis's i did have to use google to get an idea of the meaning but most of this is straight from my brain :] enjoy!!) 

i feel as if this song is about a toxic and mentally draining relationship, so thats what the analysis will be about :3

"we take sour sips from life's lush lips" could mean as simply as stated, but more likely the fact that the relationship this song seems to be about is purely based off of the want for pleasure. almost as if only one persons is only in one it for the sex and pleasure they receive. no real/true love is present and if so, its most definitely one-sided. 

"And we shake, shake, shake the hips in relationships" could represent one person completely ignoring the other's feelings and just basically shaking all of the prominent problems off. also shaking the hips is something one could do to attract sexual partners to themselves, so this could be suggesting a one-sided relationship with reoccurring cheating by one partner whom just doesn't care.  

"you'll put your eyes to the sun and say i know. you're only blinding to keep back what the clouds are hiding" talks about the one partner whom is actively being cheated on, ignoring all the signs and proof of it. saying almost how they look right at the issue and choose to ignore it to avoid the truth and the pain coming along with it. 

"We might've started singing just a little soon" is representing how both lovers just jumped into this relationship way to fast, basically saying the cheater just doesn't know what they want, and they should've waited a little to think about it. 

"we're throwing stones at a glass moon" the moon represents their love and trust for one another; something beautiful. and by throwing stones at it, it represents them tearing the relationship apart with unfaithfulness and mistrust. 'Something so beautiful can be easily tainted by one mistake' essentially. 

"we're so miserable and stunning" talks about their love for one another. almost saying that love can be so beautiful on the outside, but on the inside, it can cause someone a lot of pain and hurt if it's not properly working out. 

going back a little- "stomp out this disaster town" shows how messy and toxic and disastrous their relationship truly is behind the scenes. and stomping it out could show the desperate want or need to end it, but it's not always so easy to leave. 

"We keep the beat with your blistered feet" i think is talking about how they're continuing their messy relationship even though its causing pain, because there's a shred of hope it'll get better soon. 

"we bullet the words at the mocking birds, singing" is basically representing how words or actions can hurt or even kill something so innocent.

" Slept through the weekend " could represent taking the easy way out of things; sleeping through the stress and problems.

"and dreamed of sinking with the melody of the cliffs of eternity" shows that when that person falls asleep they dream of happiness: what they couldve been had the other not become so unfaithful and toxic. 

"got postcards from my former selves saying 'how've you been?'" represents looking back at how loving the relationship was in the beginning; almost as if the cheater has become the type of person they used to hate. 

"we might've said goodbyes just a little soon" is the regret of breaking it off, they feel they could've fixed it but instead of trying they just separated instead. 

"robbing lips and stealing kisses under this moon" could represent the things going on behind their backs, how they're betraying their old love. 

"it was ice-cream headaches and sweer avalanche" is talking in a past sense, basically saying that in the start, it was a sweet mind-numbing love with a genuine rush of feeling. 

"when the pearls in our shells got up to dance" ok so essentially, pearls start off as a cluster of sand, get when they get into clams opening it irritates the sea creature and then they get smoothed out to stop the irritation, so basically the pearls in our shells could represent the problems within their relationship or the things that irritate each lover (past arguments, old feelings, past memories, etc..) and them getting up to dance could represent them being brought up in a conversation (essentially an argument with the theme of this song)

"you call me a bad tipper of the cradle" i think is talking about how she is calling him a bad partner to take the blame off herself for the constant pain and mental exhaustion she's caused. (also this could be saying that their love has turned into torture, if the cradle reference is alluding to the 'judas cradle' torture method since the song is about a never-ending toxic relationship)

"tired yawns for fawns on hunter's lawns" explains how humans like to take risks and put themselves in risky situations even though the know the risk of getting hurt is possible, and they do infact get hurt in the end and complain about it even though they knew the risk and put themselves in that situation. so basically the guy still has a deep love for the girl and goes back to her yet again. & he ends up getting his feelings hurt yet again and complains about the pain though he knew the possibility and put himself in that situation. 

"we're the has beens of husbands" represents how usually in a failed relationship one person has lost all feeling for another. making the relationship meaningless and one sided. 

"sharpening the knives of young wives"  is saying how in the end the girl gets tired of the relationship (basically goes mad) & his loathing; sadly tries to kill him due to craziness. 

"take two years and call me when you're better" is the guy finally saying hes done after the attempted murder, and tells her to take time away from him and call back in two years when  shes not as heartless or crazy anymore. 

"take tearsdrops of mine, find yourself wetter" is the male saying that during those two years away to think of all the pain and stress she has caused them and when she finally realize what she did she'll find herself in more pain later on. Seems as if the guys Hurt empowers her and makes her only want to hurt the him more. 

to summarize this whole thing up. The song tells the story of a toxic or emotionally abusive relationship. Both lovers seem to be hurting one another but more so the girl rather than the guy, the girl was good at first but then becomes unfaithful and hurts the guy. the two of them eventually break up but only for her to come back to him & the process repeats. Then after a while they finally break up for good after the girl attempts to hurt and or kill the him. And he finally confronts her on her wrongs only for the girl to Gaslight and try and put the blame on him. The guy then tells her to call him in two years when she's realized how much she made him suffer And that she'll find herself in the same way he was or even worse. 

im hoping this made sense!! if not ill go back and revise it! but This song has always been one of my favorites of all time from Fall Out Boy. I Love Infinity on high so much It's such an underrated album with so many good songs on it. ^_^
