L'homme Fidèle

so i watched l'homme fidele yesterday morning. i had looked up, our most populair nepobaby admired in the coquette community, Lily-Rose Depp and looked under movies. i had seen on my instagram feed, seeing as i follow a Lily-Rose Depp fanaccount, this movie pop by but i had forgotten the name, but had remembered Lily to be one of the main actresses.

it must have been around 10 am. i had not slept yet. i haven't slept on time in days. and some days i just skip. not willingly. i do not decide one evening that ''tonight i will not sleep! and thats that". quite the opposite really. i wake up around 6 pm as the sun is going down and tell myself ''tonight i will go to bed on time'', but also only if i feel tired. how is that working out for me? not very good. it makes me watch french films without sleep at 10 am, on a wednesday. i could go on about my sleep but i think that for a second blog entry i will keep it light and only focus on maybe the topic i chose it to be about to begin with: the film. (apperantly 'movie' is when its in the cinemas and 'film' is the general term. i sometimes forget)

the film itself was...very french! the stereotype (or the knowledge?) of the erotic french lifestyle combined with romance and absurdity is seen in this film. i can't say more, out of my fear of spoiling the whole movie. it is a one time watch for me as ive mentioned in my letterboxd review as well, however i do recommend it nonetheless! also, i will say that even though i do not believe Lily-Rose Depp to be a bad actress, her ''Americanness'' did disturb me in the film. and i think the french will agreee with me. there is a certain something about french people that just cannot be fabricated. getting the accent right is one, but to really appear french in your essence is a whole other practice!

thats it for my blog entry of today. i wonder if the dates are kept too? or if i should add those onto the blog post myself?
