homestuck ships

when i first started reading pretty much my only goal was to figure out who i ship gamzee with-- he's my favorite and i want to give him a big ol kiss but i AM an artist and i can't exactly draw gamzee x me all the time now can i. i think the obvious gamzee ship choice is karkat because, well, they are best friends after all + karkat is like the only one that can tame him.

HOWEVER!! as i keep reading, karkat really just isn't doing it for me. feels like he's busy doing his own thing. gamzee x karkat feels very like safe and boring to me. which can be comforting, sure, but that's not really what i want from my ships.

i keep reading and of course gamzee remains my favorite but low and behold guess who i start to really dig my fingers into?? fucking equius. putting gamzee aside, equius is like seriously growing on me, especially after watching a playthrough of his pesterquest route. i hated him at first because he comes off as controlling of nepeta but he's really just a goofy guy. he loves nepeta a lot and i know this now, he really is a sweetheart. 

and he also has a funny fetish. i mean, gamzee and equius's first interaction in the comic is some kinky fetishy shit, like come on. karkat x gamzee may be safe and comforting but equius x gamzee has passion and fire and a really really weird and interesting dynamic! like. what's even the point of shipping something if it's not kinda weird and toxic and also you're like, the only one that ships it. i alone will support the gamquius aka high horse community. 

first i just need to figure out how to draw equius...
