COMMUTER'S MUSIC HEADPHONES GUIDE

Hi! This is Dean! This is my headphone guide for my fellow music addicted commuters!

Lets talk about headphones!

I personally think headphones are the main part of commuting music tech. Without headphones, we probably would have 0 privacy and 0 respect with the people that we are with while commuting. You are probably looking for recommendations for headphones. WELL I have a set of headphones i could recommend. I will rate them by their sound quality, how easy to wear/bring them, price and I'll add extra comments.

1: Monitor Headphones (Samson Sr850, Sennheiser HD600, Audio Technica ath-m50x)
  • Sound quality - 10/10
  • How easy to bring/wear - 4/10
  • price - 7/10
They are QUALITY headphones. Personally, the sound is so great and it feels lively to listen to. On the other hand, they are hard to carry because of their BIG shape and LONG wire. I don't think they are great in the "commuter" aspect since they are a hassle to bring. They mostly come with a hefty price and you might not risk wearing them outside (I'm looking at you Sony MDR7506 Starbucks Chillers that doesn't bring headphone cases)

2: Bluetooth Headphones (Skullcandy EVO, Sony WH-1000XM4, AirPods Max)
  • Sound quality - 9/10
  • How easy to bring/wear - 8.07/10
  • price - 5/10
They are probably the "common" pick since they don't need wires. On the other hand,  they are battery powered so having to charge it is almost a daily chore to do. The sound quality is good but they mostly have loud bass. Especially, the Skullcandy EVO having to vibrate your whole head.

3: Wired Headphones (Koss Porta Pro, Koss Retrospekt, Panasonic RP-HC70)
  • Sound quality - 8/10
  • How easy to bring/wear - 10/10
  • price - 8/10
These headphones are my personal favorite. They mostly are very light weight and very comfy to wear. If you are looking for that 90's "i'm listening to my walkman" vibe, this is probably the category for you. These headphones are mostly cheap and the down side of it is their cheap cables getting easily broken.

In the end pf the day, It is your choice that matters. If you want to commute with LARGE and QUALITY headphones or the easy to bring headphones, It is your choice. Satisfying the ears and mind with music while commuting is a great tool for constructing thoughts and ideas. Even if you are a metalhead, indie music enjoyer, Hiphop lover and more, these technologies help you construct those thoughts and ideas. I wish this guide helped you pick your commuter headphones or have an idea what to buy. But for now, I'll see you sometime again.

Sincerely,
Dean

A REALLY good, cheap, and compact set is the sony MDR-Zx110s MODDED. stock MDRS aren't very good with sub bass. After Driver mods and ear cups mods and exposing the driver. They are amazing. I actually made a video about it.
