"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" she sneered, her voice oozing with venom. "A poor little girl encroaching on our turf?" With a sickening grin, she grabbed a fistful of my hair and yanked it viciously, causing waves of excruciating pain to radiate through my scalp. My apologies gushed out of me like a broken dam. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" I bellowed at the top of my lungs, my heart pounding like a sledgehammer against my ribs. The horrified glares of the onlookers bored into my soul, but they did nothing to intervene as the harrowing scene played out before them. In a few seconds, straight the rest of her friends arrived. "Move it!" they snarled, spitting venom with every word they said. Suddenly, the sound of my skull colliding with the window echoed all through the bus, blood splattering onto the glass. Tears fell down my face like a waterfall, my body wracked with pain as one of the guys pulled a knife from his pocket and began to carve into my skin, they were laughing as I screamed in pain. My screams echoed through the bus, ricocheting off the walls like a desperate plea for help, but the other students remained talking to their friends and completely ignored us as if the sight of an assault unfolding before their eyes were just another little occurrence in their daily lives…
