100% honest review of So Much (For) Stardust

I got into Fall Out Boy about a week or 2 after love from the other side came out and I absolutely loved it and still do the guitar was there and it was great same with drums. Heartbreak feels So Good came out it was not good it had a more pop kind of sound. I got into Take This To Your Grave, From Under The Cork Tree,  Infinity On High, and Follie a  Deux I haven't really listened to anything passed that it sounded too pop ish for my tastes. March 24th hit and I listened to the new album right away and It was a good album definitely not there best and also not the worst they had some great songs like hold me like a grudge, I Am My Own Muse, and Love From The Other Side. While the other songs were either average, okay, or far from my tastes. I understand that it is not a throwback album and I get that they are trying new sounds but I think they should have brought back the wonderful guitar and drums from there first few albums. Patrick's voice sounds amazing and it hasn't aged it is still smooth and powerful. The lyrics seem a bit forced but they are great. I have seen other reviewers who said the orchestra was too much and that they didn't like it I liked it and it reminded me a bit of Infinity On High. They seemed to have recovered a good amount from the excessively obnoxious electronic sound of Mania. So Much (For) Stardust for sure has a special place in my heart and I think the album is great there are some songs that I think could have definitely been written better (No Offence) apart from that I am exited for the tour I bought tickets and I am binging new interviews the second I get home and I am exited that "Emo" is having a resurgence! I miss the old punk sound but I understand that bands grow and change. I am glad to see that this album is doing great. I hope Joe is in a better place mentally and that he can join them soon he is a god when it comes to guitar and I loved to see him in the Hold Me Like A Grudge music video. That being said the album could have been better but apart from that it was a wonderful album and I am excited to see what the future holds for Fall Out Boy.(And hopefully a revival of Emo.)
