MySpace, FB and my souls transcendence to SpaceHey

It's really unbelievable the way i've gotten more out of the 2 days here on SpaceHey then the past 5-10 years on Facebook or Instagram.

I lingered on MySpace til' the bitter end, when no friends were active in months and bulletins only trickled in from bands.

how could I have known?

Facebook is where I go for mindless scrolling. A storage unit of photos. To check in or update distant family on big moments. But since COVID, posting just feels... wrong? Like a, "Who gives a shit?" hits me whenever I even think about it. And it's ironic because the answer to that is: more people than I want to know what's going on with me.

And perhaps the most glaring turn-off to other platforms, that everything I share will be used to influence or sell me something somewhere at sometime in the future.

But here!? I thought at first I would be too old, out of place.

That only the kids attempting to get a piece of what we (millenials) had with MySpace would be active. but after finding the RAWRing 20's group, my souls been touched and my creativity reignited by like-minded elder emos/alt's profiles decked w/ custom code, blinkies, profile songs and hypertext emojis.

I've tried Tumblr, Reddit, but this feels like home. (or at least it will when I regain my footing in the profile coding dept XD)
