Are You Happy?

This statement really resonated for me today. It has been a large part of my mental reframing over the course of the last year and seeing it today was a wonderful reminder. Yesterday I excitedly volunteered my time getting hay for the farm. I've grown to get a sense of fulfillment from doing things purely because I want to. I used to be almost exclusively money motivated and I came to realize that I constantly felt short changed, and therefore never was happy or feeling valued. After hay I still had excessive spring and pep in my step so I continued on to another farm project of drainage and dredging that I had been doing this week. I can say that thanks to my new rule of only doing things that bring me joy I'm both happier and more productive. HUGE thanks to my partner and her role in helping me explore this new way of finding value in myself; most certainly could not do it without her!
