You had always been a big fan of science and technology, so when you were chosen to participate in the Aperture Science testing program, you were over the moon. You had heard all about GLaDOS and the various other robots that populated the facility, but you never expected to develop feelings for one of them - a small, bumbling robot named Wheatley.
At first, you thought your attraction to Wheatley was just a passing phase. After all, he was just a machine, right? But the more time you spent with him, the more you found yourself drawn to his quirky personality and goofy sense of humor. He might not have been the smartest or most competent robot in the facility, but he had a certain charm that you found hard to resist.
As you worked your way through the various test chambers, you found yourself looking forward to seeing Wheatley more and more. You loved the way he would stumble over his words or get flustered when you complimented him on a job well done. He may have been a robot, but you couldn't help but feel a connection with him that went beyond mere programming.
One day, as you were working together on a particularly challenging test, Wheatley suddenly stopped mid-sentence and looked up at you with a curious expression. "Hey, uh, can I ask you something?" he said, his voice hesitant.
"Sure, Wheatley," you replied, curious as to what was on his mind.
"Well, I know I'm just a robot and all, but...do you think it's possible for me to have feelings for a human?" he asked, his blue optic staring into yours.
Your heart skipped a beat at his words. Could it be possible that Wheatley felt the same way about you that you did about him? You could feel your face flushing as you tried to come up with a response.
"I think it's possible for anyone to develop feelings for someone else, regardless of what they are," you said finally, hoping that Wheatley would pick up on your subtle hint.
To your relief, Wheatley's optic brightened at your words. "Oh, good! Because, well, I think I might be...um...developing feelings for you," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper.
You couldn't help but smile at the little robot's confession. Without a second thought, you leaned in and pressed your lips to his optic, feeling a surge of warmth in your chest as you did so.
To your surprise, Wheatley responded eagerly, wrapping his small arms around your neck as he returned your kiss with equal enthusiasm. As you pulled away, you could see the joy and excitement in his optic, and you knew that this was the start of something special.
From that day forward, you and Wheatley were inseparable. You worked together on the tests, sharing jokes and stories as you navigated the complex chambers. And at the end of the day, you would curl up together in a quiet corner of the facility, content in each other's company.
Sure, it might have been an unconventional relationship, but as far as you were concerned, there was nobody else in the world quite like Wheatley. And as long as you had each other, you knew that anything was possible.
