*~Writing and ADHD~*

I am so frustrated.  I have decided to begin writing, a passion that I've had since I was sixteen, but damn it if my ADHD hadn't made this the harder than I expected.  And I already expected it to be difficult.  My issue is that I have the main story line for the book, but then, as I'm writing, I come up with other story lines that I want to write.  So, instead of jotting down a few notes, I start out with chapter one! WTF!

So, I officially have the start of 3 books.  6 main characters, 12 or so side characters, two new planets, working on a new freaking language, 4 species (so far).  Because how can you write a thrilling sci-fi adventure without creating a whole new reality, right?  Coming up with creative names that don't sound or look silly in text is probably the hardest part, in my opinion.  Naming characters, especially the human characters.  I didn't want to pick some wild name like Emberlynn or Oakleigh (literally found those on a list of baby names), because it feels like nothing fun ever happens to the Britneys.  No offense to the writer of a series that I am currently reading, but the names are all pretty unique(Frankie, Reba, Naomi, Justine, Daisey, Rian, Sybil, etc).  And, while she also includes a Valerie, Jennie, and Lea, I don't know, I feel like there should have just been a different unique to common name ratio LOL!

I will give myself a bit of credit, though.  I have been able to refocus on the original content of Alexis and the journey that changes reality.  I am currently finishing the third chapter, and somewhat happy with the way it is going for the first draft.

But yeah, anyways, if anyone had actually read this entire thing, I appreciate you.  I just wanted to blop out a few words to deal with the writers block I'm dealing with on this sleepy sunday.  Stay weird <3
