yo.
i started collecting CD's around the october of 2022 or so. i'm pretty proud of my small but packin-a-punch collection. definitely going to expand it more when i come across more stores.
why do i collect them? i started going to local stores n whatnot because it started as a way to 'flex muh music taste hurr durr', but it turns out you actually find a shit ton of music you otherwise wouldn't have known about. and they're pretty fuckin' dirt cheap too, if your music store has a 2nd-hand section. i don't bother spending more than what i think is expensive, although there have been exceptions. it's also a great way to get to know your local scene and support local businesses within your scene, and if you're feelin' chatty with the shop goers and owners, a good way to meet new people.
i'm gonna collect casettes next because they're pretty darn cheap as well, but i'm waiting for my casette tape player to arrive in my mail atm. i wanna collect vinyl in the future, but considering how it's expensive 'n shit, i'm holding it off.
probably my proudest find. discounted AND found first ontop of a pile of 2nd hand CDs. absolute W
love joy division. i hope to actually get my hands on unknown pleasures and/or closer soon
i'll make more blog posts in the future if i find anymore cool CD's.
