✧ Log — #16

i'm not sure if i've mentioned this before, but i'm apart of a ttrpg group! basically d&d, but we're using the 'kids on bikes' system for our campaign. i'm currently one of the players, and i love joining in with all my friends as we push our characters together like little dolls. 

however! recently i've been thinking of creating my own. the game master of our current campaign directed my attention to a system called 'good society', which appears to be heavily inspired by Jane Austen books. alongside that, gm also introduced me to a series by dimension 20 called 'a court of fey and flowers', which apparently uses that system along with d&d rules. it's all about a big ball and courts and the regency period, and i'm obsessed. on top of that it's fantasy, so i'm practically clawing at it like a rabid animal.

the thing is, i'm interested in starting my own fantasy campaign using the good society system! i've already begun to create a world and some characters (whilst just shoving some ocs i've had for a while in there too). i won't actually be able to begin it anytime soon because i'm swamped with school for my last year here. so i have plans to start it in perhaps late november, or late january and february before i go to university. 

it will be so fun! i'm going to make it short, so it doesn't stretch into my uni days. hopefully about six or seven sessions is what i'm aiming for! we already have quite long sessions as is with the other campaign (lasting usually about 4-6 hours), and it does drain me. so shorter sessions, such as 1-3 hours is what i'm aiming for. if that's the case though, the amount of sessions we have might be stretched out longer. i just have to prepare for that.

so yeah! don't know why i wanted to type that out here. guess it's been on my mind. and i'm also ignoring the assignment i have due tomorrow. god i'll start that now :[
