The Wonderful World of 3DS Homebrew

Recently hacked my 3DS (thank you my friend Luke for having an sd card reader and hacking knowledge, and my bf for buying me a bigger sd card ily) and I've been exploring the new features!!!

Firstly: For the first time in my life I am experiencing the wonderful problem of having Too Many Games and not knowing what to play first... this week has been very stressful so I've mostly been enjoying the more low energy games I got: Super Mario 3D Land and Animal Crossing New Leaf. I actually have had a copy of New Leaf since 2013, but my mayor account has my deadname on it and I'm too attached to the memories to delete it... but it's been very nice starting a fresh and just, fishing and making friends with my villagers with no goals besides doing my little tasks :3

Other titles I now have access to and have downloaded:
 - Legend of Zelda games:
     - Majora's Mask
     - Ocarina of Time
     - A Link Between Worlds
     - Minish Cap
- Ace Attorney: Phoenix Wright trilogy (I've watched RT Game play these all before but I love the characters so much I will play it again myself)
- Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice (only the first one)
- Pokemon Crystal
- Mario Party Island Tour (to play with my bestie in college)
- Fire Emblem Echos: Shadows of Valentia
- Bravely Default

I am very excited to play all of these, I just need to decide which one to play first? Probably A Link Between Worlds or Minish Cap, tbh. I also might get Oracle of Ages/Seasons too if I'm really in the mood for retro Zelda

Secondly: Themes. Custom 3DS background themes are very fun! I've mostly found some for the aformentioned games above, as well as Fire Emblem Awakening ones because that will always be one of my favourite stories <3. Besides that I managed to find backgrounds for all the albums of TWRP!!! And the one of my favourite album has my favourite song as the background music I really won that one >:)

Third: In exploring the other features of the ~piracy application~ I found a section for movies/TV?? And they have the weirdest selection ever?? Like it's so random

In no particular order I found:

- The first seven episodes of Neon Genesis Evangelion (subbed)
- Morbius
- Dispicable Me, Minions, and Minions: The Rise of Gru
- Shrek 2,3, and 4 (but not the first one)
- Akira (dubbed)
- My Neighbor Totoro (dubbed)
- Sonic movie (2020)
- your name. (subbed)
- Beavis and Butt-Head Do America
- Inception

These aren't even all of them, it's such a random selection I do not understand. Shout out to the person with very specific taste in movies and no laptop to watch it on, I guess. The idea that I will be in class one day and have the urge to watch a movie so I just. Whip out my 3DS and start watching Shrek Two ON MY 3DS is very funny. (Yes I would have my 3DS at college)

In conclusion: everyone should hack their 3DS if they have the means to do so, it breaths so much life back into a console that I loved a lot as a child, and can now love again as an adult. Fuck Nintendo and their anti-community business practices. You can watch Morbius on it. I love piracy.
