weird dream i had last night

i love when i remember dreams as soon as i wake up. the first part of this one is still fuzzy, but i remember i was at my mom's house. my little sister was singing songs from view monster, which i found really strange in the dream because my mom would never let her listen to that album in real life. mac from always sunny was there and he started to get concerned when she sang the man in stripes and glasses.

then, some of my friends from my old job came and picked me up. we went to their college campus to hang out and as we were walking around i noticed lots of the first floor dorms had animal pens set up right outside the window, but none of them had real animals, just a stuffed animal or two. my friends took me to the cafeteria, which was super dark and crowded and had this weird point system for buying food. i kept losing my friends and i was all stressed because i didn't know how to pay for things and i wanted to take my time browsing all these weird exotic foods they had but my friends were going too fast. they had these individually packaged slices of toblerone cake and a section of ramune-like sodas. one of them the bottle was shaped like a bear and the soda was this bright lagoon blue, and then one of them looked like one of those mexican drinks, sort of like a guava nectar type thing. it was bright orange and opaque but carbonated. bummed they aren't real.

the last thing i remember is that there was this huge cloud in the sky that we could see from wherever we were outside. it was like a big pillar of a cloud with all these soft pinks and blues, and then at the top it turned into black smoke, and in the body of it you could see these really really clear animal shapes made from the cloud. the only one i clearly remember was an egret. it turned out that it was a smoke cloud from a burning house on a corner in the middle of a neighborhood. we drove by it and got really close to the fire, but no one else seemed concerned. there were no firefighters and it had burned completely down to the foundation and stone steps but it was still blazing pretty hard. and then i woke up. definitely one of the weirder and cooler ones i've had recently
