I'm back from my two-day absence; even though that's not really a long time, it sure does feel like a century on this website with everyone's "online" statuses lol.
I've been pretty busy, and once again I received another rejection letter. This time, from Northwestern. It's not big deal though, but I felt very shaky after I opened it. I knew my mom would be disappointed, but not in me (thank God). I feel better now and am very grateful that I eventually grew out of attaching my worth to frivolous things such as college acceptances.
School itself has been fine, I was able to get by this quarter with all A's! Hopefully, I can do this again in the last quarter. But that's the thing: my last quarter will be shorter because I'm a senior. At my school/school system, seniors get out about two or so weeks earlier. I'm not exactly sure why, but I'm pretty sure part of it's done for the sake of the graduation ceremony. It's just become increasingly evident that my time here at school is ending, which is both comforting and alarming in its own way. Once we get into April, I'll essentially have one more month left of high school!
Oh, and it looks like I won't be getting as good of sleep as I would like tonight. There's supposed to be a severe weather threat. Even before sunset, the wind was blowing pretty strongly. This just sucks because although you can't catch up on lost sleep, I like to wake up to start my weekend refreshed. I just hope for no tornadoes tonight, and minimal thunder. We'll see if my wishes come true...
Boa noite,
