Blue period!! this show/manga is one of my alltime faves and I need to tell everyone about it!!!! it's basically about this high schooler (Yamaguchi) who wants to get into one of the most prestigious art schools in Japan (Tokyo university of the arts) and it follows his journey from him taking classes to improve his art and learning new sketching and painting techniques, making friends and all dat to the actual application and enterance exam to the uni!!! sum stuff i also think is cool abt the manga is that it has pretty solid gay/trans (im sry idk how to describe it) rep in the form of ryuji, who i personally hc as genderfluid! in the manga they go from he/him to she/her then back to he/him, and they complain in an ep (cant remember which one tho) abt how gay relationships are seen as so taboo. I also think its cool because i've genuinely learnt shiet from this show and it's encouraged me to not drop art, no matter how hard it is!! The line "just because you're doing somethin you love, doesn't mean it's always gonna be fun" has stuck w/ me in almost every aspect (w/ my art, instruments, etc!!!!) anyways i rlly reccomend it!! another cool thing is that the mangaka, Tsubasa yamaguchi, is a graduate of tua herself!!! she's noted as notable allumni if you google tua which i think is pretty cool!! overall, 10 paint drops outta 10 ^^
Books i really like and i need to force other ppl to know abt #2
