Honey I'm Home Lore+ANALISIS

TRIGGER WARNING FOR RELIGOUS TRAUMA, MURDER, VIVISECTIONS, RELIGOUS TALK, SUBSTANCE ABUSE, ABUSE IN GENERAL, AND AGAIN, GETTING OFFED BY YOUR INNER DEMONS...

i will never get bored of explaining Ghost and Pals lore EVER.....!!!

i love this song its so UNFAIR!!! REMINDER TO STREAM GHOST AND PALS

i do these for fun lmao

SONG EXPLAINED

A young lad named Norman Da Luz has a father who believes that the world is unfair and cruel, "An awful place," and that to pass on would be like waking up from a nightmare. in an act of "mercy," he kills Normans mother. Father tells Norman that in order the pass on to the afterlife

Growing up with this mindset, Norman started questioning if his world was even real, and came to the conclusion that it was a simulation. Norman started heavily abusing drugs as a way to cope with his findings. He decides its time to "Pull the plug," that everything would be better if he were to escape to the real world.

After this, he meets God and his sideman, Charon. God confirms Normans theories, but that there is so much more to it then he knows. God advises Norman to stay by his side in order to show him the truth. Norman follows, blind to what may happen to him later on.

Because Father was essentially the heart of this whole thing, God eats Father, ending the simulation and making God the new caretaker.

Instead of taking this path, Charon offers him a scapegoat, a way to get out of this. Charon offers him a kiss which would poison him. Norman takes it as an excuse to leave it all behind and to forget about it.

Once Norman wakes up, he found that his body was being used for a public vivisection in the real world in front of an audience of angels.

CHARACTERS

FATHER- Symbolizes that of a Praying Mantis. A reference to praying and how female Mantis' are known to eat their mates.

NO PICTURE AVAILABLE... MIGHT EDIT AND ADD IT IF I CAN...

NORMAN "MINECRAFT" DA LUZ- Symbolizes a moth being trapped in a spiderweb, Foreshadowing what happens to him in the real world. He gets the name "Minecraft" by vocaloid producer R.I.P on Patreon.

CHARON- Prounced Keh-ruhn, is named after the Greek god that carries and transports souls to the afterlife. He has a similar purpose in this song.

THREE VOICES- Refer to God, Charon, and Norman, the only people who are real in the simulation and those who remained after it was destroyed.

NO PICTURE AVAILABLE... MIGHT EDIT AND ADD IT IF I CAN...

ANGELS- Described as NPC's, and just as a group there to watch.

NO PICTURE AVAILABLE... MIGHT EDIT AND ADD IT IF I CAN...

SYMBOLISM

Religious themes- Play on the idea that if a world is created, they also create people and other things along with it.

VIVISECTION- This has two possible definitions.

1. Norman has spent so much time reflecting and analyzing aspects of his life that each time he goes back it gets more confusing.

or

2. An actual live dissection used for the purpose of being an unethical process. In the last chorus, its taken literally, back to the days when criminals who were dissected we refused proper Christian burials. Its used to show Normans humility and to show who was in control as God refused to let him die in a peaceful way. This is the most popular theory.

GRAMAPHONE- Has no symbolism, it was used for rhythmic purposes.

SONG TITLE- Symbolizes Norman "coming home." He spent such a long time contemplating the fake world and idolizing the real world and a God he new basically nothing about. Norman follows God blindly and discovered that this "home" isnt any better than the one he grew up in.

LYRIC ANALASIS

Since im too lazy to write em all out ill just take em from Genius

"Father said that this world isn't for me"

Normans father tells him that the world isn't real, and that to pass on is to die.

"I tried to pray for a new reality"

"Norman deeply covets something, perhaps a will to live, as implied by the song."

"So, come to me we can change night into day."

"This may be a cult follower telling Norman that “God” is powerful enough to help him and(or) to give him the will to live.

"A tied up moth seemed to know a different way"

There might have been another player in this.

"DON'T REMEMBER IT, DON'T RETURN TO IT"

"Norman is attempting to just forget about his trauma collected throughout his life."

"Oh, Father tore out the umbilical cord"

Father did not let him live a normal childhood, instead plaguing his mind with his own.

There's nothing left in the bottle keeping me scored

"This is a reference to the character’s alcoholism, stating “there isn’t any more alcohol to soothe me.”

"We'll abandon the scenery in the"

leaving the past behind

"DON'T REMEMBER IT, DON'T RETURN TO IT"

"Norman is attempting to just forget about his trauma collected throughout his life."

"Rear-view mirror"

leaving the past behind

"A petty line of white noise"

Possibly Norman blocking everything father and other people say out and interpreting it as "White Noise."

"Pack up your bags and throw out the toys"

"Pack up your bags, you’re moving out (either self decision, or kicked out). Throw out the toys could mean “throw out the toys, you’re growing up, stop being so childish.” or Norman’s dad telling him to man up, and throwing away the things he likes/is passionate about"

"Three strikes, and "Honey, I'm home!"

"Three strikes can symbolize: 3 chances, 3 hits (abuse), or 3 bangs/knocks on the door, and in this case it’s most likely just 3 bangs/knocks on the door. This is most likely an important detail with those who deal with abuse, so 3 knocks on the door from their abuser coming home is bad news “Honey, I’m home!” is Norman’s father coming back home, and Norman is afraid of his abuse"

or

THE THREE STRIKES HAVE SYMBOLIZED TWO RELIGIOUS THINGS.

1. Symbolization of the motion of your hands to bless things "in the name of the father, the son, and the holy spirit" **doing that cross motion on the body while saying**

2. An extremely rude insult made by a demon/demonic follower (basically a heretic like me) to knock or slam on something three times as an insult to The Holy Trinity

"Three voices come from the gramophone"

God, Charon, and Normans voice coming through.

"A vivisection of me"

"This line could be referring to a different sort of “vivisection” in which someone or something is put under deep analysis or criticism. In the second chorus it’s used as the more popular definition, that of a live dissection."

"yielded the start of a mystery"

Every time Norman thinks about one thing, another confusing thing about his reality come up.

"Say "Hello! Honey, I'm home!"

"Norman was originally made by angels (as stated in the description for the song Insecta Apostate), so by leaving the fake reality made for him he’s returning home."

"Three voices come from the gramophone"

God, Charon, and Normans voice coming through.

"John 3:33. Whoever has accepted it has certified that God is truthful."

self explanatory

"God returned with the moth chained to his hand"

Foreshadowing. Norman represents the moth, signifying that God and Norman have a direct relationship with each other before Norman gained sentience as a human.

"There's so many things that you'll never understand…"

God is telling him that he hasn't learned everything.

"So come to me, we can change night into day."

God is telling Norman to follow him, that they can do so much more together than Norman my think.

"You'll hold my hand so you'll never go astray."

God intends to keep Norman by his side so he doesn't find out what is planned for him.

"God devoured that of father"

God eats Father, ending the simulation.

"A spider preaching with poison on its lips"

Referring to Charon telling Norman that there is another way.

"To get out of here is to promise me a kiss"

Charon tells him that "to promise him a kiss," he'd be free.

"The abandonment of scenery in the"

Leaving his path behind, wanting to forget all about it.

"Mind of Mother"

Mother may have been subjected to the same thing Norman has, leading her down the same path as well.

"DON'T REMEMBER IT, DON'T RETURN TO IT"

"Norman is attempting to just forget about his trauma collected throughout his life."

"So, with advice of the dead"

He has direct contact with the angels now, possibly the ones who helped create him.

"and a halo over my head"

He has officially passed on, becoming a higher being.

"At last "Honey I'm home!"

He has finally entered the real world after dreaming about it for so long.

"Three voices come all alone"

The only voices Norman can hear now are God's, Charon's, and his own.

"A vivisection of me"

"This line could be referring to a different sort of “vivisection” in which someone or something is put under deep analysis or criticism. In the second chorus it’s used as the more popular definition, that of a live dissection."

"done by God for all to see"

God is using Norman for a public vivisection.

"Say "Hello! Honey, I'm home!"

"A vivisection of me"

"This line could be referring to a different sort of “vivisection” in which someone or something is put under deep analysis or criticism. In the second chorus it’s used as the more popular definition, that of a live dissection."

"done by God for all to see"

God is using Norman for a public vivisection.
