grrr adopting a dog

i've wanted a dog for forever and my parents even promised me one (fun story, but to put it simply it was after i got bit by one and had to go to the ER💀) recently i've been researching n heres how its going

my animal care.. district thing?? is having an event where every shelter in my county (ig?) will reduce the adoption fee to $14 for two days (happening pretty soon) they might do this again in the future, but i feel like now is a pretty good time so i rlly want to convince my parents.

i think my mom likes dogs and both of my younger siblings have been asking her abt one for the past month (she said yes, then she changed her mind to maybe). moms husband loves dogs but doesnt want an indoor one.

i am eligible for a service dog for my disability/chronic illness, which my nurse suggested after she noticed me reading a book abt dogs, but they are soo expensive and the wait list to get one is about 2 YEARS.

i am not that patient, and because of the severity of my illness (although it sucks, i can manage it by myself) i don't need a service dog. 

i have a whole list of names written down (my mom said she didnt like any of them 😭) (might post on my blog later) they're mostly food or nature names me and my younger sibs come up with.

anyways the adoption day is in 3 and 4 days and my mother said we could go just to look at the dogs, i'm gonna ask the shelter if i can bring some handbaked treats for the animals, so yknow, stay tuned :D
