Retro Writing - Published Articles

Last year I decided to try my hand at writing a couple of articles based on video games from my youth all under the theme of nostalgia and childhood.

I managed to get a few published online, so if you're bored and fancy a read please feel free to check these out.

My magnum opus, my love letter to my youth, long forgotten friends and the power of childhood imagination.  One my greatest achievements in life was getting two of the original creators of the actual game to read and endorse this article, a dream come true.

Published in the build up to the PS4/Xbox One remake of the classic.
This article looks back not only on the game but how it's soundtrack shaped my musical taste for years to come.

A look back on the piracy scene on the original PlayStation.
One my favourite gaming memories, yet should I have known better?

One of my favourite games of all time, I went back to it after 15 years to find my old save file still worked, and that it still featured all my old school friends.  It was time put the gloves back on, hit the ice and beat them all up, one by one.

One for the UK audience, a look back on the popular Nickelodeon kids TV show and just what it meant to me growing up and the many parallels of my own life.

Grand Theft Auto III: The Game Changer
To coincide with the remastered original trilogy, I think back on the huge impact this game had on me as a kid, and the gaming industry.

Thanks to anyone who takes the time to read these :)
