so i made a mistake a few days ago by deciding to give my mystery snails a treat of freeze dried bloodworms. there must've been some eggs in it or something, because now i have live bloodworms and midges (the flying insects that bloodworms pupate into) everywhere.
i was originally going to get some endlers since they're super small and my tank is already very well stocked with snails, but the store ran out when i was there (the people who got fish right before me took the last ones T-T), so i decided to go with regular fancy guppies instead. endlers are a type of guppy, so regular guppies fit my tank's needs!
i got three boys and just now moved them into the tank proper after acclimating them a bit. they're already getting to work with picking out those worms (actually larvae)!!
(i just did a gravel vac earlier, and most of the stuff still on the ground are actually the bloodworms. tank is clean i promise!!)
