[Note] God (Read preface)

Preface: This is a early note I took from a short lecture on Christian theology. Very basic and boring but some might find it interesting. 

### What is God?

God is the omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent and eternal/infinite spirit, that has created all things. 

This begs the question, how do we know or even relate to God? Why is there so much evil and pain in the world? 

God reveals himself to us throughout history. We commune with God through prayer. We study God through his word. 

His word, or Bible, is made up of 66 books (within Protestant belief), and 2 parts. The New Testament, which is 27 books, and the Old Testament which is 39. Some of these books are prophetic, apocalyptic, poetic, historical and more. The Bible encompasses many genres, written by ~45 people, over 1200 years or so. Though it remains consistent despite this. 

These books are the divinely inspired writing of God, making them infallible, and without errors. Making this the only true word for christians, and where you can find a lot of answers christians would ask.
